Sturgis IN The River 2009

Sturgis started out with a bang this year. Really! Me and Banshee were workin' the Rollergirl tent and went through pretty much a hurricane. lol. Everything got blown away for te most part. We got probably over an inch of rain in less than 5 minutes. We were holding on to the tent looking at each other wondering what to do. When it blew over one of those 3 pole circus type tents next to us, we pretty much decided to run for our lives! It blew over and we dried out and picked up the piecs as best we could. Hopefully the next couple days go a bit better.

Well, this is the first installment of logos I've designed over time.

Logos

I Love designing logos. They have always been the most fun for me. I sat down one day and tried to gather all the logos I've done over the years, printed them out as 4x6s and put them into a photo album. The darn thing held 200, and I had to get another book. lol. Maybe I'll actually count them up spmeday. Anyways, this is the first logo I ever designed for money. $50 bucks! Sweet! Back then that rocked. LOL

Ed Gorman Book Cover Movie Posters

A few months ago I was asked by "Wizzz" to come up with some faux movie posters for a B-movie Poster Art Show. He wanted them based off of the books by Ed Gorman, a Cedar Rapids author. Well, Ed liked 'em so much he had the first two (Wake Up Little Susie and The Day the Music Died) printed as the back cover on the reprints of his first two books! I'm hopin' eventually they will move to the FRONT of the book (lol) and become a complete series. It was a real plaesure to meet Ed. He was just a hell of a guy.
